Confidence Grows Through Play and Routine
Two-year-olds are discovering what they can do, how to express themselves, and how to participate in a classroom community. Through movement, play, hands-on learning, and consistent routines, children build confidence while developing important social and early learning skills.
A Classroom for Growing Independence
Two-year-olds are learning to make choices, communicate their needs, follow routines, and do more for themselves. Our teachers support this growing independence with patience, encouragement, and plenty of opportunities to practice.
Children move through art, sensory, STEM, themed learning, music, stories, and outdoor experiences throughout the day. Each activity is designed to keep children active and engaged while helping them strengthen social, emotional, physical, and communication skills.

FAQs
What schedules are available?
Families can choose from two, three, or five day enrollment options based on current classroom availability.
What should my child bring?
Children should bring a labeled backpack, a water bottle with a secure lid, extra clothing, rain boots, and diapers or pull-ups if needed. Please also send a fitted cot sheet, a small blanket or approved sleep sack, and a packed lunch if your family is not purchasing a school-provided lunch.
How do teachers communicate with parents?
Teachers use Brightwheel to share reminders, updates, and important information with families. Messages are sent through a designated VidaLife staff phone rather than a teacher's personal device.
Are meals and snacks provided?
VidaLife provides two healthy snacks each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Families may pack a lunch or purchase a school-provided lunch.
Do two-year-olds take a nap?
Yes. Children have a scheduled nap or quiet period each afternoon. Families should provide a labeled fitted cot sheet and a small blanket or approved sleep sack.
Do children go outside in different weather?
Yes. Children spend time outside in a range of weather conditions when it is safe to do so. Families should send weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Each child keeps labeled rain boots and a Muddy Buddy at school for outdoor learning in changing conditions.
How much time do children spend outside?
Outdoor learning is part of the regular routine. Through VidaLife's Learning Beyond the Classroom approach, children spend a minimum of four hours outside each day when conditions are safe. Nature exploration, movement, play, and seasonal activities also help the school work toward logging 1,000 hours outside.
How is Spanish included?
Children experience English and Spanish naturally through songs, stories, conversations, classroom routines, and time with bilingual teachers.
Do children use screens?
No. VidaLife is screen-free. Children spend their days moving, creating, talking, playing, and exploring.
What will my two-year-old learn?
Children strengthen communication, movement, social skills, emotional awareness, independence, and early learning concepts through play and everyday routines.
How do you support growing independence?
Children practice making choices, following simple routines, helping with classroom tasks, managing their belongings, and doing more for themselves with support from their teachers.
Does my child need to be toilet trained?
No. Children do not need to have mastered toilet learning before joining the program. Teachers work with families to keep the process positive and consistent, without forcing a child to use the toilet.
What does my child need when transitioning from the Infant Classroom?
Please send labeled rain boots, a fitted cot sheet, a small blanket or approved sleep sack for the cot, and a water bottle with a secure lid. Straw cups are not permitted. If your child is bringing lunch from home, please also pack a lunchbox with an ice pack. Clearly label every item with your child's name.
